Planescape: Torment

For the upcoming Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition and also Torment: Tides of Numenera releases I wanted to replay this classic. Every play through I discover something new – new powers, abilities, information on the Nameless One, his past incarnations and of the companions. The companions are unique and unforgettable; from the sarcastic Morte, Annah the tiefling and Ignus, a pyromaniac consumed in flames, to name a few. The characters in Planescape are easily the most unique and memorable of any AD&D game, or even most other games.
To this day the hand-drawn backgrounds look stunning. The dark, rusty decay really sets the mood. The game is story driven with depth and emotion, and it is completely unpredictable or comparable to any other game.

Maybe in the not so distant future we could see Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition. It’s not really needed as the game is brilliant as is, but if it helps this game-genre return with compelling storylines and characters, why stand in the way?

A bit slow and difficult at certain parts in the game.
